The quality childcare services provided by Squiggles & Giggles is more than babysitting. The program is licensed through the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. All staff are trained to understand the value of teaching children using age appropriate strategies, activities and materials.
Kai Young had the vision of being an early childhood educator since she was a child. In 1992 God gave her a vision and Squiggles & Giggles was birthed. Since then, she has become a mother, grandmother and caregiver to many. Ms. Young was born and raised in the City of Detroit and takes pride in providing quality care to every child that passes through her doors. Ms. Young is CDA certified and finds value in being a lifetime learner. She is a member of BQI (Brightmoor Quality Initiative) which focuses on the “whole family” meeting them where they are and growing together. Ms. Young is also a member of many other organizations that educates, supports and aids in children’s growth and development. Ms. Young doesn’t plan to stop here, diligently working to leave a legacy for her children and the generation of childcare professionals coming up behind her. There is so much to look forward to for Squiggles & Giggles and she is excited to know that many more children will get the quality care they deserve.
